Project B15 (2026-29)
Under Global Shock: Outcomes of Different Social Protections Programs in Britain, Chile, and Germany, 1970–2000
Focusing on Britain, Chile, and Germany, the project examines the socioeconomic effectiveness of social policy and its impact on political integration during the far-reaching structural changes and deep economic crises of the 1970s and onwards. By integrating global, national, and local perspectives, the project aims to provide a nuanced understanding of how social policies shaped social resilience and political stability in times of severe economic transformation. Being historical at its core, the project is based on extensive archival research and oral history interviews.
